Noted authors Tim Beckley and Sean Casteel have, with contributions from many recognized authors and researchers in the UFO field [this reviewer included], have compiled a massive and comprehensive volume detailing many of ufology's most outstanding and enigmatic cases. From Long Island's Mount Misery to Utah's Skinwalker Ranch, to hot spots in the San Luis Valley of Colorado to Arizona's Sedona Vortexes, to numerous other active anomalous locations of ongoing unsolved mysteries, you'll read a truly bewildering range of bizarre events and manifestations from innumerable close-range UFOs and orbs, to skinwalkers, werewolves, shapeshifters, elemental type beings, cattle mutilations, so-called "vortexes" - high-strangeness occurrences that are popping up everywhere worldwide.

UFOs Deja Vu presents a fascinating and thought-provoking plethora of documented case histories accompanied by a great assortment of photographs and illustrations. This is a recommended must read for those who are truly curious about the high-strangeness side of ufology.

Extra Terrestrial Contact: What to do when you’ve been Abducted

Kathleen Marden, the niece of Betty and Barney Hill, ufology’s legendary couple who initially, back in the 1960s, put the alien abduction phenomenon on the radar of most ufologists worldwide, is herself an experiencer of the abduction syndrome, as well as a serious UFO researcher and hypnotherapist. Furthermore, she is certainly someone who is dedicated to uncovering the truth and developing a better understanding of what’s behind this controversial and complex enigma. Kathleen is the author of Captured: The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience and The Alien Abduction Files and is the director of experiencer research for the Mutual UFO Network and a consultant to the research subcommittee for the Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial and Extraordinary Encounters. In this book, she provides the reader with a comprehensive insider’s perspective into this phenomenon and though it was written especially as a helpful guide with the alien contact experiencer in mind, it’s also an informative and helpful resource for serious UFO students and, beyond that, it’s a detailed and factual book for anyone who is just plain curious about the alien abduction phenomenon.

Continuing on where Ann Druffel’s How to Defend Yourself Against Alien Abduction some two decades ago, which outlined nine different techniques that were found to help alien abductees, Kathleen goes forth in a similar but expanded vein here, presenting some really well-documented case histories, numerous significant details and insights, helpful coping strategies, even instruments that may prove useful to both the experiencer and investigator, be it things like the TriField Meter, ultraviolent lamps, and camera equipment, which may help to detect and verify energy fields, so-called “implants,” or the presence of “orbs,” or document physical trace or energetic evidence of one form or another.

This book also, I am very pleased to note, delves deeply too into the “paranormal,” psychic components that often manifest in these experiences and which all too frequently have been neglected by investigators. In this respect, I found Kathleen’s thorough investigation of an experiencer she simply called “Matt” to be a powerfully illustrative example of the kind of high-strangeness cases that may provide highly significant clues and insights into these situations, with examples of poltergeist activity, orbs with faces, an alien that was shot and turned into a yellow substance [believe it or not, this sort of thing is not unheard of], an angelic figure who seemed to protect “Matt” from a negative being – along with impressive photographic evidence too. This book contains a well-presented assortment of guidelines suggesting many methods for psychological and even spiritual protective measures in dealing with the kinds of disturbing events and manifestations as noted in Matt’s case. In addition, there are questionnaires and checklists that one can self-administer and a few chapter contributions from MUFON’s ERT [Experiencer Research Team] and Kathleen’s inner circle of colleagues like Ann Castle, Denise Stoner, and Madeleine Tobias.

This book is certainly a major contribution to the “alien abduction” subject and what have become known as other “contact modalities” in this very complex, perplexing and controversial field of inquiry.

Paul Eno, an award-winning New England journalist who co-authored with his son Ben the highly acclaimed Behind the Paranormal: Everything You Know is Wrong and who with his son host the popular Boston/Providence radio show Behind the Paranormal, has been heavily involved with paranormal investigations since the early 1970s, back during a time when he was studying for the priesthood and working with such paranormal investigators as Ed and Lorraine Warren.

With a background in theology as well, plus examining paranormal occurrences under the umbrella of quantum physics, Paul and Ben have carefully investigated and documented numerous cases that strongly point to a largely hidden multiverse around us involving entities of various frames of reference, be they so-called ghosts, angels, devils, or alien greys – and some for which no category has yet been identified. This book is loaded with many mind-boggling accounts and photographs, some personally taken by the authors, that show strange and unexplained energy effects or objects – even apparent entities!

Thought-provoking, insightful, and absolutely riveting, this book is a page-turner. It deserves an honored spot on the bookshelf of every inquisitive and serious student of the “paranormal.”
