UFO Contacts and Cosmic Consciousness

By Dennis Stamey

In the article “Extraterrestrials Contact Human Beings: An Original Approach to Set Authenticity of Alleged Close Encounters of The Fifth Kind” by Dr. Julio Acosta-Navarro, published in the World Journal of Research and Review, Volume-2, Issue-5, May 2016, the author devised a set of criteria to determine the validity of contact claims. Of the 72 cases he investigated, they determined that there was a high probability that the earth was being visited by extraterrestrial life forms. Dr. Acosta-Navarro works at the Heart Institute at the University of São Paulo’s Medical School and has done numerous studies on food sciences.

There were two cases that, using the 12 criterion Dr. Acosta-Navarro established, scored the highest. The first involved the experiences of Sixto Paz Wells, born in Lima, Peru in 1955. In 1974, Wells had his first extraterrestrial contact via telepathy while attending a workshop offered by the Theosophical Society on that subject. The psychographic message was from an extraterrestrial called Oxalc who claimed to come from Ganymede, one of the moons of Jupiter.

Wells was skeptical of this extraordinary message but decided to conduct an experiment with a group of friends. Oxalc again conducted Wells and invited them to a “pre-arranged encounter” the Chilca Desert, 60 kilometers south of Lima. The party climbed a hill close to an abandoned mine and soon watched a large, metallic-looking, hamburger-shaped object come out of the Pacific Ocean and approach them, flying closely overhead. Some of the witnesses became frightened until they heard a voice saying that at that time there wasn’t going to be a landing or a physical contact at that time because emotions in the group were running high. Then the object departed but not before another voice told them there would be another opportunity to meet face to face on February 7, 1974. A UFO did appear and was seen by over 20 people. More encounters would follow, including 10 well-documented cases witnessed by international journalists who vouched that they had not only seen UFOs and their occupants but also received messages. Spanish journalist Juann Benitez investigated the sightings and contacts and wrote several books about them including UFOs: SOS to Humanity.

Wells kept receiving messages and eventually founded a group called RAMA Mission. The idea of living a simple. The communiques emphasized vegetarianism, daily meditation, and psychophysical or psycho energetic exercises, all meant to prepare the body for the “vibrational shift” needed to interact with extraterrestrials. Wells’ alien friends also told him that they had visited and colonized the Earth from different planets in the past. These worlds included Ganymede, Venus and a planet of in a system circling Alpha Centauri. Wells also claimed he had been transported through an interdimensional portal he referred to as a xendra and that on three occasions he had been taken aboard spaceships.

Wells is an international celebrity, author of numerous books, and has lectured at the United Nations.

The second case involves Hermínio Reis and Bianca de Oliveira, a couple from Minas Gerais, Brazil. The woman was a simple housewife with basic education, and the man was a minister with the Jehovah’s Witness church. Neither were related but de Oliveira attended Reis’ church. Their experience began on the night of January 12, 1976, while headed for the town of Belo Horizonte. Near the city of Matias Barbosa, Reis decided to pull over and rest for a moment.

Around 11 p.m., de Oliveira spotted a bright orange light moving from one side to the other. At first, she thought it was a balloon until she noticed that it was going in and out of the clouds. Finally, the object got so close that she was afraid it would hit the car. She screamed and woke up Reis. It was at this moment that the UFO sucked the car inside. Then it entered another ship. Two men approached their vehicle smiling and cordially helped them out. As Reis described: “They were wearing white overalls, and they were coming up to us while they were talking. They were smiling, with beautiful white teeth. The skin was like a bronze color. I also noticed when they came closer that skin color I had never seen before. They were very beautiful people, with large green eyes, oblique, but the eyes were positioned a little different from our own. Our eyes end at the side of the head in a point. But their eyes were just the opposite. The point was close to the nose and not at the side of the head. They looked like oriental eyes, but in reverse. We see oriental eyes pulled to the sides, but theirs were reversed and pulled to the front, towards the nose, and the round end was at the side of the head. They were very nice looking. They had nice long black hair, worn to the neck, and neatly cut horizontally across the bottom. "

The individuals, who were so similar that they looked like twins, led the couple to a room that resembled a lab. They said that they were from the planet Klermer, a world many lights away. The aliens went on to discuss religion and other mystical topics. They also told them that the people of Klermer were of one race and lived as one family. There are no wars, countries, or class status.

Two days after being kidnapped, the couple and their car was left on a dirt road not far from the place where they were abducted. Like Sixto Paz Wells, the couple would go on to have more contacts. The aliens revealed that they are coming to earth to raise humankind’s spiritual awareness. They also said that there is a universe of antimatter, a reflection of our own universe, which they can travel it by using portals.

Were these people lying? As far as Wells’ story, other people were with him during his encounters and saw UFOs, aliens, and received telepathic messages. That adds huge weight. There were no other witnesses to the encounters of Reis or de Oliveira not that we’re aware of, but we do know that the housewife knew almost nothing about UFOs. Former Air Force Lt. Colonel Wendelle Stevens, who investigated many contact claims, documented Reis and de Oliveri’s claims in his 2012 book UFO Contact from Klermer.

In our book The Clown Matrix we discussed cases of people throughout history being caught in what we termed “fake realities” where they can see and communicate with otherworldly beings. This seems to have been occurring throughout history and the entities that these contactees interact with change with the understanding of the times, morphing from angels to aliens. We’re not exactly sure why they are more susceptible to entering these false realms than the rest of us, but it may have to do with their levels of psychic energy. Other times, it might involve their level of spirituality.

Having psychic energy and being spiritually minded don’t always intertwine. As William Bloom, a noted spiritual coach from Britain, explained: “As a teenager and in my early twenties, I came across many people with interesting powers. They could move objects with their thought energy. They could clairvoyantly see things. They could talk with angels and spirits. They could make things happen. And I was ready to give them respect and to sit at their feet and learn.

“Unfortunately, most of them were not very nice and not very wise. I can still vividly remember one man, sitting in a sofa, who looked at me with a glance that said watch this. He then directed his energy so that someone walking through the doorway suddenly fell backwards as if pushed by an invisible force. The man then glanced back at me with mischievous eyes, inviting me to become his student. We did not “But I was perplexed. How was it that this prankster had these powers? I assumed that these kinds of powers went hand in hand with spiritual development.”

Most of the contactees of the 1950s were interested in spiritual topics especially theosophy. We’re unsure whether they had psychic abilities or not; however, if they did, they never said. Sixto Paz Wells might have had psychic powers as well as a profound sense of spirituality. Herminio Reis was apparently very spiritual and soon after his encounters he was converted to the doctrines of the space people and began teaching yoga in Sao Paulo.

In The Clown Matrix, we also mentioned that those trapped in false realities are somehow able to drag friends and family into these realms with them. Bianca de Oliveira was one of those people, inadvertently entering a shadow world that had been opened for Hermínio Reis. We also discovered that there are people who see UFOs, ghosts, or other odd phenomena throughout their lives but don’t communicate with anything supernatural, which is the criterion for being trapped in a false reality. Why don’t they become fully immersed?

This account was found in a 2019 edition of LiveAbout.com, a reliable entertainment site that frequently covers the paranormal. It’s from a contributor named Stephen Wagner. He writes: “In September 1997, when I was a kid, I was watching an episode of Zorro on TV with my mother when Zorro became a black-cloaked hero to scare his enemies.” It made a low ghostly moan.” That night at 4:00 a.m., I was awake on my bed when the bedroom door opened and I heard this exact same sound, but I knew the TV was turned off and everyone was sleeping.” Wagner suddenly couldn’t move, which sounds like sleep paralysis, and began hearing a noise “that sounded like a high-pitched airplane engine, and I could see a pathway image in my head as if I was moving at a very high speed.” This was soon replaced by a new image “that showed a tree and a grassland with two people who were talking about something.” When this scene disappeared, he was able to move again. A year later, Wagner said he was playing a video game in which he noticed a figure moving behind him reflected on the TV screen. “It looked like the black-cloaked hooded figure with a bit of white skull inside the hood. I looked back but did not see anything. I was then overcome with a rancid smell as if something was dead and rotting for days in my bedroom.”

Shortly afterward, he was in the kitchen one night when he saw “a transparent, black-cloaked hooded figure with no legs, no arms, and no face moving above the floor at a fast speed while its hood was staring down as if it was looking down while walking.”

The last incident happened in 2013. Wagner was lying in bed when he heard the ghostly moan “just like the first incident back in 1997 when I was a kid. This time, however, I could also feel what I believed to be two hands shaking on my blanket very fast. And I could hear chain rattling as if both entity’s arms were wrapped in chain.”

Thinking back on his experiences, Wagner says: “It seemed to me that this black-cloaked hooded ghost or entity was not as threatening or evil as I expected it to be. I don’t know if it is evil or not, but it was not threatening, yet at the same time could be frightening, too.”

William Bloom says that while reading through Hindu scriptures Including “a wonderful, short scripture called The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, I finally came across clear teachings that described these metaphysical skills and abilities and said explicitly that they had nothing to do with spiritual attainment. In the Hindu scriptures these occult skills are called siddhis. There are higher siddhis and lower siddhis. The lower ones are to do with clairvoyance, psychism and the manipulation of energy. The higher ones are to do with expansions of consciousness, discernment and the ability, for example, to blend with new dimensions.”

What if those who see weird apparitions from time to time are operating at a low siddhi, siddhi being a Sanskrit word for magical powers, while those who interact with supernatural entities are operating at a high level? Of course, these experiencers didn’t necessarily develop their skills like a spiritual master, they were inherent, some experiencers having more psychic energy than others.

Around 2:30 a.m. on July 19, 1951, Josef Maliszewski got up in the middle of the night to use the toilet. When he came back to his bed, he heard a whistling sound. Looking outside, he saw a large disk landing in a field next to a garden colony near his house (a garden colony is land rented to those wanting to plant crops). The man was curious and went outside to approach the craft, but when he came within 55 yards, something stopped him and became paralyzed. As he stood there, he noticed that even the horses and cows in the field couldn’t move and that the birds were silent. Maliszewski soon heard a voice in his head telling him not to be afraid.

Eight small round objects emerged from the craft and hovered, rocking back and forth. A hatch was opened on the side of the ship and an escalator slid out. Four tall men stepped out. They went over to the starboard side of the craft and began to repair something. Maliszewski described the men as over six feet tall, dark-skinned and handsome. On their heads they wore helmets that resembled transparent domes, and half their faces were covered by what looked like oxygen masks. They wore a full-body suit in dark blue and had containers attached to their backs.

After nearly 15 minutes, the men returned to the escalator, and it rolled back inside. It was at this moment that the witness claimed that at the same he received another telepathic message saying, "Goodbye, see you again.". The disk rose into the air and disappeared. Maliszewski realized that he was no longer paralyzed, and he saw that the horses and cattle were coming to life and heard the birds start chirping again.

Later that day, Maliszewski went out to where the object had landed and discovered indentations about six by twelve feet as well as over 30 large footprints between them.

Josef Maliszewski would have more encounters with these aliens. Early on the morning of May 18, 1954, he was out fishing in his boat when a small craft passed low over the water. It hovered beside him and a hatch opened on the side. A spaceman stepped out and urged Maliszewski not to be afraid. The alien offered him a drink and some food that looked like bread. The visitor told the witness that he came from a planet called "Zutorn".

Two weeks later, he said that the space people returned flew him to their world. The pilot of the ship was "the most beautiful young lady he had ever seen". She was dressed in a sparkly blouse with a cape and a short skirt that went halfway down her thighs. She spoke Danish, and Maliszewski says, "She kissed me on both sides of my cheeks and finally one on my forehead. Then she said, 'You are my brother, and I am your sister. You must not think that you are alone here in the mighty universe." A lot of contactee cases of the 1950s had sexual overtones.

Throughout the years, Maliszewski recounted numerous accounts of his encounters with visitors from Zutorn. However, those yarns grew more unbelievable with each telling and eventually Danish Ufologists considered him a liar.

During the early 1960s, Maliszewski became very ill, and he could no longer do physical labor. He believed his sickness was caused by radiation from the spaceship that he saw his first encounter. He passed away in 1963. Jacque Vallee briefly discussed his story in Passport to Magonia.

Here’s what is interesting. Josef Maliszewski was born in Poltava in Ukraine in 1900. During the First World War he served in the German army. After the war he settled down in Denmark, where in the mid-1920s he got a job at a gas station in Sønderborg, near the German border. Joseph was described as a philosopher and lover of nature and an ardent believer in God. In short, he was a mystic.

What if some people are so attuned to the infinite, to what we think of as God, their minds operating at a higher siddhi, that they can sometimes connect with it. But instead of a beatific vision of old, seeing God sitting on a throne or a heavenly host circling the sky, these mystics, since the advent of UFOs and the belief in extraterrestrial life, are now seeing aliens in spaceships. Now with the belief in parallel universes, some experiencers report interacting with “plasma energy beings.”

But if the mind can fuse with the Higher Self it must pass through layers of consciousness. Inevitably, it would have to travel through the collective psyche, that universal library of human knowledge and transcendental wisdom that guides humankind. In our writings we identified three layers of consciousness, the cosmic consciousness, the collective psyche or collective unconscious, and personal consciousness.

Hinduism teaches that there are six realms that a person can be born into and inhabit temporarily depending on his or her karma, the process known as saṃsāra. There is the god realm, the demi-god realm, the human realm, the animal realm, the hungry ghost realm, and the hell realm. The Tibetan master and scholar Chogyam Trungpa wrote: “These realms can refer to psychological states or to aspects of Buddhist cosmology.” Above them all lies nirvana.

While these modern mystics might be able to mentally ascend into higher planes of consciousness, they fall short of reaching the cosmic mind, the ultimate attainment of every soul according to Eastern philosophy. But in their ascent, these experiencers return with spiritual insights and even special abilities.

In his analysis of UFO contacts, Dr. Acosta-Novarro notes that the aliens said that vegetarianism was the best lifestyle, that capitalism or money-based economies were detrimental, that reincarnation existed, and that other ETs were living among humans. These first three are tenets of Hindu and Buddhist doctrine. The last, aliens are earth, reminds us of the bodhisattvas, awakened beings who have put off entering paradise in order to remain on the mortal plane to help others attain enlightenment. The Dalai Lama is considered one of them. Now if you have a mystical experience and your consciousness aligns with a higher realm, there might be some benefits. Preston Dennett, one of the staunchest proponents of the ET theory and author of some 30 books defending his thesis, wrote a study several years ago entitled The Healing Power of UFOs: 300 True Accounts of People Healed by Extraterrestrials. Dennett describes how UFO contactees have been healed of different ailments such as colds, injuries, and even cancer. Some of these cases Dennett investigated personally. Psychic healing is rooted in Eastern tradition and was practiced by the early Christian church. So, how does it work if it does? Douglas Ballard, the renowned international healer (whether we believe he’s genuine or not), explains “there is a subtle, non-physical energy that can be harnessed and directed to promote physical, emotional and mental well-being.” Basically, this is the universal force, described by nearly every culture that has ever existed be it the prana of Hinduism or the qi of ancient Chinese philosophy. Native American tribes also recognized a supreme being or force we know as the Great Spirit and is referred to by names such as Manitou, Wakantanka, or Orenda.

Our contention has always been that everything within the universe is composed of energy and that this energy is the building block of consciousness. The higher the energy, the higher the consciousness and vice versa. The notion that consciousness permeates every fabric of creation is hardly new and is referred to as parapsychism.

Parapsychism likely began with ancient Greek philosophy. Plato in his Timaeus argues that: “This world is indeed a living being endowed with a soul and intelligence ... a single visible living entity containing all other living entities, which by their nature are all related.”

In modern times, it is still being bandied about. Arthur Schopenhauer put it best when he wrote: “All ostensible mind can be attributed to matter, but all matter can likewise be attributed to mind,” Today, parapsychism has branched off into different schools of thought such as panprotopsychism, cosmopsychism, and panexperientialism, obtuse philosophies we have no desire to explore. It’s also a popular topic among quantum physicists.

UFO contactees are thus exposed to higher frequencies and subsequently higher levels of awareness and are both healed in body and elevated in spirit. But what about poor Josef Maliszewski? Maybe he was exposed to too much low-level radiation, the kind that damages cells. A lot of UFO witnesses report health problems that could only have been caused by ionizing radiation

Have these mystics and ascetics from ancient times encountered beings roughly equivalent to UFO humanoids? Yes. In Eastern religions they are known as dakinis which basically means “sky dancer” or “sky dweller.” In Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhism, the dakinis, also referred to as wisdom ḍakinis, are fierce-looking female embodiments of enlightened energy. Sometimes they can even appear as mysterious women who are highly spiritual (note that the aliens encountered by contactees are often described as androgynous). Both types of these entities, who don’t have an objective existence, help Tantric initiates attain enlightenment just as the UFO humanoids help experiencers grasp New Age thinking.
