The author of this book, Decanus Fragaria, is a British investigator and researcher deeply familiar with and immersed in the paranormal world. A self-described distant healer, a pendulum dowser, he claims to have had numerous experiences with ghosts, dark demonic-type entities, and a wide variety of faerie, natural elementals, and once even the famous Green Man. From early childhood, his decades of interactions with paranormal realms seem to have provided him with a pretty solid base of knowledge and insight by which he seems able to handle situations that would overwhelm the average person. This author's journey into the unexplained is one of considerable high-strangeness. He seems pretty prone to psychic experiences and quite sensitive to such energies. His first chapter, Let Battle Commence, begins with an explosive account of what happened when he and others once visited a neolithic burial chamber known as West Kennet Long Barrow and he had to lock psychic horns with a very dark and powerful presence. In the second chapter, we read of his childhood encounter with a child ghost named Jimmy. In chapter three, the author learns of people encountering a possible Wendigo in, of all places, Preston, England. Determined to get to the bottom of things he seeks a personal confrontation with this frightful entity, and succeeds in identifying and dealing with it, though I won't spoil it for the readers by elaborating on any further.

Suffice to say, the book is chalk full of such spine-tingling encounters that you may get to wondering if there isn't any situation that Mr. Fragaria can't handle? Well, eventually he does confess that as they say about detectives who eventually run into their nemesis, coming upon a case they can't crack or a criminal who eludes them, the same is true for the paranormal detective as well, and he cites such a situation in chapter 18.

Along with photographs of actual site locations (some that may depict entities), along with the author's riveting first-person accounts, and you may have a hard time putting this book down.
