An especially good issue this month, Brent. And not just because you gave REAL MIRACLES a terrific mention in your column.

Brent,
I was so surprised and delighted when reading your Reality Checking article this month. There's so much in here that parallels my own encounter experiences such as Jung's collective unconscious, the Buddhist teachings of the higher beings, and the importance of reports from credible observers even though an incident may not be repeatable or invoked on demand (such as the appearance of an otherworldly entity, spontaneous remote viewing, or occurrence of a psychic event). I thought it was interesting that Uri Geller sends and receives telepathic messages in green. I found that my own were sometimes received in neon pink inside a whitish or clear box outlined in neon pink.

Your report on how Tibetan Yogis taught clairvoyance using a bar magnetic whose north pole pointed upwards during meditation was really interesting. I had not heard about this. From my readings on Tibetan Buddhism, the traditional dzogchen, an advanced Tibetan ascetic on the short path to liberation, eventually finds himself dematerializing and materializing, walking through solid objects, summoning and banishing physical entities, shape-shifting, transforming an object from one form into another, and performing other actions deemed impossible by conventional science. This supposedly is accomplished through years of hermitic, focused meditation in sensory-deprived environments. Some of these feats are readily performed by our extraterrestrial visitors, as well. I wonder about the scientific commonality here.

I really enjoyed your account of the appearance of the subtle blue dot (bindu) during meditation. I found an article relating to this which I return to regularly for inspiration. It is entitled: Bindu: Pinnacle of the Three Streams of Yoga, Vedanta, and Tantra by Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati. In this article he writes:

Understanding the end of the journey: Bindu means Point or Dot, is sometimes likened to a pearl, and is often related to the principle of a Seed. This is not just a poetic choice of words or philosophy. There literally is a stage of Yoga Meditation in which all experiences collapse, so to speak, into a point from which all experiences arose in the first place. The Bindu is near the end of the subtlest aspect of mind itself, after which one travels beyond or transcends the mind and its contents. It is near the end of time, space, and causation, and is the doorway to the Absolute. To understand this principle is extremely useful, if not essential, to Advanced Meditation.

Bharati explains the Bindu as the "convergence point of Meditation, Contemplation, Prayer, and Mantra and is part of the mystical, esoteric aspect of many, if not most, religious and meditative traditions". Sometimes I would see this subtle blue dot preceding an encounter. I think Bharati's explanation of the bindu may be part of the underlying mechanism for understanding close encounters.

I wonder if the beings may bring our minds near the end of space, time, and causation before they appear as a means of communicating and interacting with us at our limited mental level. I’m not finding the words to express this well but it does seem like the concepts of space, time, and causality, as we know them, are set aside during an encounter.

Thank you so much, Brent, for the delightful Fact Checking article this time. Your body of knowledge amazes me! Please keep these coming. I really appreciate it. Take care.
