Examining Claims of a Michigan UFO Abduction of two young girls from July 1961

Here’s Part One mp4 file Nancy Tremaine 1961 Event circulated to me and other researchers, narrated by Nancy herself, with the help of assistants Doug Ruld and Jeff Demmers. A Part 2 is in the works:

In July 1961, 65 years ago, two months before the famous Betty and Barney Hill case, residents in the small village of Novi, Michigan claimed a visit from a UFO. Two then young girls, best friends, years later under hypnosis would recall being on a craft with strange beings. In a recent phone conversation with Nancy she recalled that afterwards people from the military came to town. “They came in to make an official investigation, and they went door to door. They came to my house. I was 12.” She explains they were two Air Force men. “They came in ‘prepared to disbelieve,” Nancy explained. “Those are Police Chief BeGole’s words.”

“My last memory was of the beam of light immobilizing the car,” a now grown Nancy, about to turn 77 on October 4th. Years later, she would learn how the car hit by the beam of light was an unmarked car with a police man in it. Years later Novi Police Chief Lee BeGole would confirm many details for Nancy. He described how for some 20 minutes he was getting phone calls about the mysterious aerial intruder. Even one from the City Councilman’s wife. For Nancy the story began shortly after 6 p.m. when she visited her friend Cindy Lutes. They’d been friends since the fourth grade and were close. The two were playing together inside Cindy’s house when Cindy’s father called the girls outside. He was adjusting a telescope on a tripod. Neighbors were gathering as well as two Novi police officers. They were watching a silent “silver ship with pulsating red, green, and white lights” hovering nearby. When the beam of light hit the car Nancy looked at one of the officers. She told me, “That is when I saw fear – the first time I had ever seen fear in a man’s face.” She also recalled how she remembers yelling at one of the officers, “Do something!” (Maybe it was the same officer) Cindy’s father tried to comfort the girls but Nancy began running back home nearby to be with her father.

“The next thing I knew I was back home with my father and it was dusk…it was 10 minutes till 9. I was never allowed out past 7:30. My dad would never have – we called it spankings. …But he was kneeling on the floor holding me, telling me I was all right. I was home and I was safe. We figured I had been missing for an hour and a half to two hours.”

Nancy admitted that she realized how it sounds crazy, but that these beings could use her "like a computer," were able to "download information into me." She added: "That's what they did with me. They placed in my right hand - I don't know if you saw the movie that just came out, Spielberg's Disclosure Day - but I went to the movies to watch it by myself and when they put that metal rod in her hand I was shaking. It was two people who were abducted and kept silent for years, who didn't remember for years. It's my frigging story!"

Nancy explained how it's detailed in the attached link to Part 1 of her ebook at the beginning of this article. She had even drawn an illustration of what she later remembered under hypnosis. "You could see the beings putting the metal rod in my right hand and I say, 'Look at the beings staring at the wall above me because they are monitoring the information they are putting in my head."

Nancy began undergoing hypnotic regression sessions beginning on September 29, 2011, conducted by a regression therapist named Vaughn Vowels. "After the third regression I didn't really need any more after that," Nancy told me. "It was like Pandora's Box opened and I started getting all of these messages and illustrations that were put into my head like a slide projector. It would drop them down and remove them and I was made to draw them. I was told to put pen to paper and I carried a pen and paper everywhere I went because I didn't know when I was going to get a message. That's how I lived. That's how I wrote the book."

I asked her if during her missing time if she remembered being on the craft when she was 12. She replied, "No, but what I did remember, and it was so clear, was that night, every night after that, was how I was standing on the headboard of my bed, looking out the window where that ship had hovered and saying over and over again, 'Please come back and get me.' So, they had left me with a yearning, a desire. Why would I say such a thing? I was willing at 12-years-old to leave my parents, my family? To be with them? I didn't even know who they were? Or what it was? Come back and get me?"

Nancy recalled for me how the hypnosis brought back the memory of being levitated into the air and aboard the UFO. "I called it electrical energy, and it was the most wonderful feeling you could imagine, going up on your back into the ship, and I knew I was going up into the ship. But I didn't care. I just wanted to stay in this energy wave." Nancy described talking to a physicist about this experience at a convention in Canada. She recalled, ‘He said, 'You were not in a wave, Nancy. You were a standing wave. They had altered your molecular structure and that was how they got you up in the ship."

“I'll never forget that. It just blew my mind."

Her friend Cindy also was hypnotized in 2011, at one point recalling, “I was in a tube and they were outside of the tube and talking to me and they looked like, um…oh god like big frogs or something. I don’t know.”

In an email Nancy wrote me much earlier back in 2017: “I was silent for 50 years and since 2011 when I started talking you can’t shut me up.” Nancy is still trying to get the word out, to let everyone know that she and others can attest to the reality of these encounter experiences, though she is well aware that many remain unconvinced. “In the last radio interview I did, it was horrible,” she explained to me. “I hated it. I did it with Jimmy Church and I was watching the comments as I was speaking, and you should never do that. But I was attacked so horribly. I’m still worried about this project because the comments people say, ‘she’s crazy…she’s a liar,’ and I’m giving them all this information and pictures.”
