Dear Mr. Raynes,
I grew up in western Pennsylvania and as a small child, early 1960s, my mom and I saw a “flying saucer” over our Venango County home. We were isolated and alone with no car and no telephone. I was outside playing alone when it first came. I felt a rush of wind and a noticeable cooling in temperature. Then my mom whisked me into the house, and it was there for several minutes or longer before it darted straight up. Then straight to the west. I was only 3-4 years old, right about the time Kennedy was shot. It is one of my earliest memories.
I held it in for a long time. Since then, I have visited Roswell and thought it to be a tourist trap. I have emailed back and forth to Bill Bean a couple of times, who is really the only person (other than the psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Romero, MD, whom I work for) who believes me (I am a mental health therapist and I try to lead a normal life).
But I just can’t imagine what that thing was, why it hovered over my house and what happened to me the day I felt that cold rush of air blow over me? I want answers, but no one ever has them.
