Australian researcher has eerie being encounter

The witness, well-known Australian researcher, Rex Gilroy had gone to bed late when he suddenly woke up and for some unknown reason left the bedroom. The door was partly open, and a dim moon glow filtered through the front door glass. He had not gone two steps before he realized he was not alone.
In the corridor darkness the dim glow revealed a human figure (male) standing about 5ft 6” in height. As the figure was close to the door, Gilroy observed that the head reached the top of the doorknob. At this point, dumbfounded, Gilroy stared at the grayish and see-through being, whose facial features were indistinct due to the darkness. He then began moving back to the bedroom door a few feet away. At this point, the being, whose arms were at its side, raised its left hand and pointed its forefinger at Gilroy. Gilroy quickly returned to the bedroom, shutting the door behind him. His wife, Heather, meanwhile, had woken up and switched on the bedroom table light.
Gilroy told her, “Heather, there is a being, ghost in the corridor beside the front door.”
Heather suggested he open the door again to see if the being was still there. This he did to find that the ghostly intruder was nowhere to be seen. This experience had him shaken to say the least, and he went through the house switching every light on as he did but “he” was gone.
According to Gilroy, the transparent being gave him a “menacing feeling” when he raised his arm and pointed the finger at him. Was the being trying to warn them perhaps?”
