I came to know Barbara and Lynn just a few years ago, as we all were working together on a research committee for the Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial and Extraordinary Experiences. This was a comprehensive international survey of several thousand people who described having UFO contact experiences. I soon came to value and recognize their professional and objective efforts to meaningfully and scientifically contribute to the research and investigative efforts of this organization. This study certainly further confirmed that a vast range of anomalous phenomena is reported under the broad umbrella of the paranormal world, be it a reported UFO contact, an orb encounter, a near-death experience, out-of-body projection, a shamanic event, or a multitude of so many other varieties of the anomalous, which again and again were the high-strange “paranormal” crossover events described by so many UFO contactees.

Not only were their keen and insightful contributions to the program helpful to its success in terms of relevant data selection and procedural and interpretive suggestions, but they both possess a deep empathy and understanding regarding the complexity and the plight faced by experiencers of UFO contact, it’s various “contact modalities,” and the high-strange crossover events and manifestations that are part and parcel of such experiences because they too have had a lifetime of a wide range of paranormal experiences themselves. As you read through this book, you will soon come to realize how their own lifetimes of anomalous experiences provides them deeper awareness and insight into the complex and oft-times very confusing and misunderstood anomaly-prone experiencer syndrome. They too share this bewildering world of being somehow ‘wired differently’ and immersed in a sphere of reality where they’re attuned to anomalous occurrences and perceptions that academic mainstream science tends to dismiss as faulty observations, subjectively useless, and unverifiable under the lens of hard science.

However, Barbara and Lynn have been doing their homework and cite an impressive body of evidence from a wide variety of sources, many considered quite credible, emerging from the works of men and women of academic and scientific bearing. As you read and ponder their abundant offering here, try and keep an open mind. Too often there’s a knee jerk reaction from scientists and skeptics who are uncomfortable with taking seriously anything that might alter their favored worldview of things. If you fit into that rigid mindset then this book may not be for you.

On the other hand, consider Barbara and Lynn’s credible and academic based backgrounds, their own fascinating experiencer-prone episodes, and those of so many others, and the vast credible looking parapsychological evidence and studies that have been accumulated over the years and strongly point to the reality of profound anomalies yet to be understood and to fully complete our understanding and knowledge of consciousness and physics.
