Puerto Rico experiencing massive UFO Wave

We just did an interview with journalist and long-time UFO investigative reporter Jorge Martin Miranda of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and got an up-to-date report on the massive ongoing UFO wave that is being experienced by the citizens of that island. This major flap began on the early morning of January 7th, when a 6.4 earthquake with an epicenter off the southwestern coast of Puerto Rico struck. Approximately 20 minutes later, up in the northwestern tip of the island, near the former U.S. Air Force Base Ramey, as people were standing outside, afraid that there might be aftershocks and that their houses might collapse, these people reported seeing a “huge cylindrical shaped object,” which at first was motionless in the sky, and after awhile began “doing jumps in the air,” going in “like a stairway” pattern, moving off toward the east.

Jorge described to us how he had been in contact with some FEMA people who were operating drones to take photos and video of the coastal region close to the epicenter, to better determine the damage to buildings and so forth. “They began having problems,” Jorge said. “Very severe problems with their drones. They weren’t functioning normally. And they were saying that there was a very, very strong magnetic field in the area that was affecting their systems.” He said that the problems happened a number of times, with different types of drones. “Some of them very sophisticated equipment,” he added. “And all of a sudden they look up into the sky by chance they see a large cylinder-shaped craft.” As they continued to look up they had additional sightings. At one point, they observed two of these cylinders.

We talked with Jorge about a prominent sighting in the area of Cidra on February 28th, at 6:20 p.m. of a well witnessed metallic looking wingless and windowless cylinder, about the size of an airliner, cruising through the skies. Interestingly, a source at the Grande Island Airport in San Juan informed Jorge that some eight Blackhawk helicopters of the National Air Guard had headed out from the base at 6:10 p.m., headed west. “I have sources at Grande Airport who told me their belief that they were being scrambled to check on this situation,” Jorge stated.

In addition to UFO sightings, there have been a rash of humanoid being encounters. It generally seems to happen like this. Dogs outside begin barking and the homeowners venture outside to see what’s going on. “And they see these creature looking at them from a short distance, and they describe them more or less as the same type of beings,” Jorge said. “About 5 to 6 feet tall, grey type aliens, with a greyish-greenish skin. Big black eyes. The same thing that is described elsewhere but in this case they wouldn’t communicate. They let themselves be seen by the people and they leave.”

However, one night, two days before the quake, a nurse, who lived in the eastern part of the island, close to the rain forest, heard a noise outside of her bedroom window. “She looked out and she saw these two beings there,” Jorge recalled. “Tall grey type creatures. One of them had something in his hand….she became paralyzed and they told her that – she could hear it in her mind – that something was going to happen in Puerto Rico – that we should be prepared – that people should get food and water, etc.” Then after awhile they left and she could move again.

Jorge pointed out that the epicenter of the quake had been close to a place some believed an underwater UFO base existed. “The fishermen, policemen, and pilots, both commercial airline and military pilots – they will tell you of all these sightings they’ve had for decades of large and small aircraft going into the water in that area,” Jorge noted. “Also large cylinder-shaped craft letting out smaller craft that come out in fleets and go down to the water and disappear.” In addition, we talk with Jorge about the island’s past history of high-strangeness events, the appearance of mysterious vortexes or portals, the different kinds of entities reported there, even UFO crashes, and much more.

Kathleen Marden and Brent Raynes at Alien Xpo, Knoxville, TN., August 2019
Extra Terrestrial Contact with Kathleen Marden

I also enjoyed our interview with Kathleen Marden, getting to talk with her about her latest book Extra Terrestrial Contact: What to do when you’ve been Abducted, which is an important work that covers a lot of significant aspects and should be required reading for experiencers and investigators both. Back in the 1970s, I had worked closely with Kathleen’s aunt Betty Hill, the famed UFO abductee, on a number of cases involving UFO and paranormal elements. She once told me I was one of the only people in the UFO field she could discuss the paranormal links to. In July 1976, Betty introduced me to Kathleen’s mother Janet Miller, who believed that her house was haunted.

In our interview, I asked Kathleen if it was a ghost haunting or instead alien related, which I had gathered was her opinion from a previous contact with her. “I suspect that that is the case because this did not happen before a craft landed across the street from my childhood home,” Kathleen said. “250 feet from my childhood home and left physical trace evidence on the ground. It was observed, and my mother and I were taken to the craft, that night after that happened. I was 17 when it happened and we started to have this paranormal activity in the house. Mostly light orbs and sometimes doors opening and closing after that.”

We go into a good deal of discussion about the “Matt” case in her book (talk about high-strangeness!), definitely filled with mind-boggling and sometimes frightening paranormal events, and then we delve into startling new case situations that are still under investigation but are extremely intriguing.

We also have a third interview you’ll want to listen to with Cathy Brockway from the Nashville area of Tennessee, in her first public interview about her experiences with non-human beings and paranormal phenomena.

As always special thanks to my regular co-hosts Barbara Mango, Ph.D., and Lynn Miller, MS, who have an amazing blog site you’ll want to visit: https://www.extraordinaryexperiences.org/

This blog covers a wide and fascinating range of “paranormal” subject matter, be it NDEs, OBEs, contact with non-human intelligences, telepathy, precognition, and much more. This site serves as the main site for their upcoming book Convergence: The Interconnection of Extraordinary Experiences.

On a sad note, l must notify my fellow students of the unexplained of the passing of three of our fellow researchers who had contributed so much to the proverbial cause for which their contributions will not be forgotten.

Sherry Steiger

It was quite a shock to so many of us to learn that one of our favorite authors, Sherry Steiger, 74, the wife of well-known Fortean author Brad Steiger, who had passed nearly two years before (May 6, 2018), herself passed away at 3:33 a.m., Saturday, March 7th, at MercyOne Medical Center of North Iowa, not far from her home in Mason City, Iowa. Her daughter, Melissa, and son-in-law were holding her hands as she passed.

“It has been widely reported that Sherry Steiger died from complications of a recent illness,” Loren Coleman reported in his Cryptozoonews website. “Sherry and her husband and partner of nearly 40 years, Brad Steiger, were prolific writers about Fortean phenomena, UFOs and all things mysterious and unknown.”

“Sherry was an author and coauthor. As one publisher stated, Sherry Hansen Steiger was an expert on health and healing, spirituality, and the unexplained. She had authored or coauthored more than 60 books, including the inspirational Real Miracles, Divine Intervention, and Feats of Survival and the best-selling “Miracles” series, including Dog Miracles, Animal Miracles, and Christmas Miracles (winner of the 2002 Storytelling Award).”

Ted Phillips

Ted Phillips, 78, the founder and director of the Center for Physical Trace Research and an associate of the J. Allen Hynek Center of UFO Studies, passed away on March 10th. A professional photographer and an engineer, he had been involved with the Vanguard Satellite Program and was a field engineer on the Minuteman Missile Project.

Ted Phillips and his team investigated more than 4,000 physical trace UFO cases in more than 90 countries. Quite a staggering accomplishment.

Gene Duplantier

Gene Duplantier, 94, passed away on December 17, 2019. Back in the 1960s and ‘70s, Gene edited for some 14 years the noted Canadian magazine Saucers, Space and Science, which had many readers throughout the world. A talented artist as well, his illustrations appeared in the pages of several UFO publications. His book The Night Mutilations (1979) concerned the alien abduction and cattle mutilation phenomenon.

Here is an example of one of Gene’s popular illustrations that appeared in Grey Barker’s Newsletter in February 1976, portraying John Keel surrounded by “the denizens of his Superspectrum.”
