Philip Imbrogno certainly packs a lot of “high strangeness” in just a few pages! He covers the full spectrum of all the major weirdness “out there,” ranging from alien abductions, Bigfoot, Chupacabras, poltergeist manifestations, the ancient “Djinn” (and so much more) with a challenging theory that ties all of these perplexing aspects into one thought-provoking theoretical explanation that includes the latest in quantum theory. Many of the fascinating stories he presents are from his own personal case files from which Philip arrives at very profound and revealing insights and conclusions, gaining crucial and rare understanding that illuminates the many dark corners and elusive solutions that haunt this complex and enigmatic subject matter.

Applying scholarly historical research with modern science and anomalous case investigations, Philip Imbrogno takes the reader on a wild tour de force journey that covers Native American Tricksters, the Moslem Djinn (often known as Jinn), ghosts, the escalating “shadow people” reports, alien abductions – hardly any significant facet of the paranormal and historical folklore is overlooked. “It is my belief that all paranormal researchers, from ghost hunters to UFO investigators, should take into account that much of the phenomena they are trying to document does not come from our world, but another reality that occasionally merges with our own,” the author notes.

Philip Imbrogno speculates that some of these beings may be intelligent forms of plasma energy. “A being composed of plasma would not have a definite solid form and might be able to change its shape by rearranging the magnetic field that contains it,” he wrote. He further notes that the Djinn of Islamic tradition, said to exist in a nearby dimension and to be composed of smokeless fire, sound a lot like plasma.

The author even delves into the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) controversy and describes analyzing EVP audio from a “ghost box” using an oscilloscope. He remarked that EVPs seemed “more frequent if the person was a contactee or had claimed alien abduction.” In regard to the radio anomalies detected years ago by the acclaimed genius scientist Nikola Tesla he wondered if “Tesla’s coil produced enough electromagnetic energy to create a small wormhole on the quantum level allowing beings in another dimension to send a message?”

If you like a book filled with new facts and concepts seldom explored by other UFO/paranormal authors, a book that will challenge you to think outside the mainstream box of conventional wisdom and logic, then you will enjoy pouring through the pages of Files from the Edge.

TABLOID MAN & the Baffling Chair of Death

The author, Paul Bannister, today a resident of Oregon, has led an active and exciting life as a globe-trotting journalist. Originally a newspaper reporter from England, he came to America to join the staff of the legendary National Enquirer. For several decades now, Paul has freelanced for all of the US tabloids and many magazines. This “Tabloid Man” has covered many sensational headline stories involving celebrities like Oprah, O.J., Elvis, and President Obama, all revealed in this book. However, no doubt the details that will be of the most interest to our readers (of which there are plenty) will be the ones he covered in his assignments as the Enquirer’s chief reporter of the paranormal.

I actually envy some of those assignments, like how he spent several months traveling around the country with astronaut Edgar Mitchell as they spent time at places like the Menninger Clinic and the Stanford Research Institute, quickly being brought up to speed on some of parapsychology’s latest and most exciting developments at that time, talking at length with SRI’s now legendary physicists Harold Puthoff and Russell Targ about their various paranormal projects, including their lab studies of Israeli psychic Uri Geller. He later got to work with Geller himself, a well-known psychic talent best known for his alleged and well-witnessed ability to bend spoons, forks and keys by psychokinetic means. He also investigated remote viewing, haunted houses, and a host of other paranormal phenomena. On several occasions, in fact, he witnessed things that he himself could not explain.

This book is also a real fascinating, eye-opening insider’s behind-the-scenes look at how the “Scandal Sheets” like the Enquirer operated and what went into a good story (and sometimes what was left out).

Watch for a great interview with this “Tabloid Man” in the next issue of Alternate Perceptions!

The author is both a psychic and medium. She gives the reader an insider’s perspective at what it’s like to possess such abilities, revealing how her talents at seeing and interacting with the “dead” go back to her early childhood and how at times it has seemed as much of a curse as it has been a blessing. Today she can use this second sight to peer into a vast spiritual realm, from archangels to demons. She reveals how her lifelong experiences have provided her many insights and much knowledge about the supernatural realms, explaining how knowledge is a very powerful tool. She dispels a common misconception about how psychics and mediums are the only ones who can produce resolution in haunting situations. She presents explanations and instructions on how each of us is capable of dealing with paranormal intrusions, how to remove such intrusions and psychic energies from you, loved ones and your property.

The author gives detailed information on performing a psychic clearing, how to do it and what to expect. She also explains how psychic functioning works, the different kinds and forms of psychic and spiritual forces, and how to engage in such activities yourself in a productive and safe way. She recounts a good many of her own personal experiences, which makes it all especially more interesting.
