Russian Flying “man” case

by: Albert S. Rosales

Location: Near Dzhambul, Kazakhstan ( USSR )
Date: September 11 1969
Time: around 05:00 a.m.

36-year-old driver Nikolay Zinov was on a prospecting expedition in Kazakhstan near the Dzhambul settlement. On that date, he was returning by lorry from another settlement together with an engineer, a geologist and a laboratory assistant. They left Karazhal after dark by an unfamiliar road. Soon they lost their way and around 05:00 a.m. Zinov stopped his lorry deciding to wait for dawn. The motor was still idling. Suddenly he noticed a moving luminous point in the sky. When the “point” approached the lorry all saw a flying “man” of normal height dressed in a silvery scaly “space suit.” He flew silently in an almost horizontal position, his arms extended horizontally at only two meters above the lorry, landing about 25 meters away. Zinov swiftly turned his truck in the direction of the flying man and switched on the headlights. The alien man stood still on the ground and was clearly visible. The geologist told Zinov to go and ask him the right way to the settlement. So Zinov jumped out of his cab and ran towards the man. When he was about 3 or 4 meters from him, the humanoid rose smoothly to an altitude of about 2.5 meters. Zinov took one or two steps more and addressed the stranger, forgetting even to greet him. “Comrade, we are lost. Show us the right way!” However, there was no response, but the man began flying off to the left, gaining altitude as he went. Zinov quickly returned to his truck and followed the man at a distance of some 20 meters. Soon it grew light and they found themselves on a good dirt road. Looking around the travelers understood that they had missed the settlement by a hundred kilometers. And the man in the silvery “space suit” kept on ascending until he disappeared into the morning sky.
