Memories of a Serbian UFO encounter, followed by apparent aftereffects

by: Albert S. Rosales

Location: Karlovacki Vineyards, Serbia (Yugoslavia at the time)
Date: winter 1989
Time: night

The nine year old witness remembers returning from Cortanovci in a car accompanied by her mother and uncle. It was winter and there was snow on the ground. It was dark as they left her grandparent’s house. As the vehicle climbed up a hill on a rural road and was approaching the connection to the main road, the car suddenly stopped. She remembers her uncle exiting the vehicle, wondering why there was no electricity in the battery. Her next memory was of being in total darkness. Suddenly, over their heads a light, like a bright halogen shone on all of them. She heard a hissing sound and a buzzing sound in her ears.

She saw a colorful light approaching and stepped out of the car and clearly saw a saucer-shaped vehicle swooping down behind the trees. She thought the object was about a kilometer from their position and it was huge, oval-shaped with glittering lights on the sides, which blinked on and off. She had a strange feeling of impending doom that something was about to happen. However, her next memory was of waking up in the car, which was on the way home, her uncle at the wheel. At this point, she realized that no one except for her knows what had just taken place (or remembers?).

After the incident the witness began to experience sleep-walking episodes, and she would find herself asleep on the terrace or anywhere else except on the bed, and also of talking in her sleep in some unintelligible language. She also suffered from catastrophic dreams and upcoming tragedies. She slept a lot during her first pregnancy and now her son does the same, including speaking in his sleep in an unknown language.
